BAC takes centre stage at SEVEN Concours as the all-new Mono makes its Middle Eastern debut with a bespoke customer-inspired aesthetic
BAC debuts the all-new Mono in the Middle East, enthralling onlookers and VIP guests at SEVEN Concours, which is taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 1-7 March.
Taking centre stage at the event, which encompasses the passion of driving and pays homage to the automotive purist, two core principles at the nucleus of BAC’s ‘one-of-a-kind’ philosophy, is the all-new Mono. The first customer example in the region of the brand’s new supercar is a masterclass in personalisation; an aesthetic that brings to life a highly personalised narrative.
Working in tandem with the customer, the BAC design team has crafted a scheme that is timeless in every detail, showcasing a level of unmatched tailored craftsmanship which pays tribute to the owner’s country, family and interests.
The new Mono debuts alongside the unique ‘smoked carbon’ Mono R, which was the first BAC supercar to call the country home when it was delivered last year.
In 2023, BAC embarked upon an ambitious and fast-paced global expansion roadmap, successfully announcing and opening new dealership partners across Asia and North America. As part of the brand’s international elevation, the company also secured its first dealership in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, partnering with Veloce Life, a leader in the country's rapidly developing luxury automotive scene. The move into Saudi Arabia is in direct response to strong demand for the Mono range across the Middle East region.
Speaking at Seven Concours, BAC co-founder and design director, Ian Briggs, said: “Our latest bespoke Mono delivered in Saudi Arabia is testament to BAC's commitment to innovation and pushing boundaries, with this first customer example in the Middle East showcasing what’s possible through the BAC Bespoke programme. We are thrilled to bring the new Mono to Saudi Arabia, where a thriving automotive culture is evolving, sharing our passion for unique, high-performance supercars.”
Also speaking at the event, Faisal Binladen, founder of Veloce Life, added: “We are incredibly proud to collaborate with BAC to introduce Mono to the discerning automotive community in Saudi Arabia. We look forward to delivering the unparalleled visceral experience that only the Mono can create."
All-new Mono captivates onlookers
Adorned in a highly personalised aesthetic that beautifully brings to life a deep sense of heritage, the new Mono taking centre stage at SEVEN Concours incorporates an identity that elegantly exhibits the customer’s lineage, bringing to life their own family colours.
The bespoke design features a dynamic contrast between the sleek silver rear and the car’s front bodywork, which is finished in blue carbon featuring a unique tint. Such a compelling transition guides the placement of the Mono’s unique graphic split, which was painstakingly masked by hand during the painting process. This same bespoke colour arrangement is also applied to delicate graphics and pinstriped details across the bodywork and the brake callipers, ensuring that from top to bottom, the scheme is unified.
The customer’s family lineage is also represented in bespoke automotive art form within the cockpit of the new Mono. Its visual identity plays with a three-colour stitching scheme featuring the family colours which seamlessly weaves through the interior and features on the delicately embroidered headrest. The car marks the first time a coloured interior has been used on Mono, with a bespoke blue interior featuring silver Sabelt belts, along with a made-to-measure seat and steering wheel – both of which are moulded to the exact dimensions of the new owner to ensure the perfect connection between Mono and driver.
Designed for both road and track, the new Mono places driving experience at its core, influenced by BAC's one-of-a-kind philosophy. The supercar features an evolved aesthetic treatment based on the brand's highly acclaimed design language, with key engineering and technical updates being realised for optimised powertrain, chassis, suspension and steering dynamics.
The new Mono reflects the desire from an international customer base for a road-legal single-seater supercar that is equally at home on the road as it is on track, be that accelerating up a winding mountain road, or hitting the apex on a challenging track, such as the highly acclaimed Jeddah Corniche Circuit.
It was at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit last year, just before the Saudi Arabian F1 Grand Prix, that the BAC Mono R made a dynamic debut to the delight of motorsport fans, marking the brand’s official arrival in the country. Operating out of the strategic hubs of Riyadh and Jeddah, BAC Saudi Arabia is set to continue its strong growth momentum through this year, as it continues to grow the BAC community with drivers who desire an unrivalled experience on both the road and the track.
